A Small Space With Big City Impact
Designing in New York City is all about intention. Space is limited, so every design decision has to serve a purpose—without sacrificing comfort or visual appeal. That was our approach for this stunning 1-bedroom unit in the heart of West Village.
Our goal was to make this Airbnb feel like a personal retreat in one of the city’s most iconic neighborhoods, while still feeling modern, efficient, and cozy for short-term guests.
🎯 The Design Strategy
For this 1-bedroom unit, we focused on:
Maximizing light and layout to make the space feel larger
Bringing in texture through warm-toned furniture and soft decor
Using premium finishes and details to reflect the upscale West Village location
Creating zones for rest, work, and entertainment—within a small footprint

Every inch mattered—so we selected pieces that were multi-functional, minimal, and luxurious:
A sleek but cozy bed frame with layered bedding and soft lighting
Mid-century modern desk nook for business travelers and remote workers
Space-saving accent chairs + side tables with organic curves
Neutral palette accented by warm wood tones and gold finishes
We styled with intentional minimalism to give the space airiness without feeling empty—and to photograph beautifully for platforms like Airbnb and VRBO.
